Privacy policy

In short: your birth details, your name and your place of birth are processed in your browser and never reach our server. We collect the minimum needed to deliver your reading and to see, anonymously, how the Site is used. We do not use cookies.

1. Data controller

2. What data we process and why

a) Data you enter to calculate the chart (date, time and place of birth, sex and, optionally, your first name). The calculation runs in your browser. Your name and place of birth never leave your device.

b) Chart key. To show you the reading, your browser sends our server only a technical key made of your date of birth, the Chinese hour index (one of the 12 two-hour periods) and your sex. It contains no name, place or contact details.

  • Purpose: delivering the free or paid reading.
  • Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

c) Access code. When you buy, we create a code that unlocks your reading. We store it together with the chart key and the payment status.

  • Purpose: giving you access to what you bought and handling support requests.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

d) Payment data and email. Payment is handled by our payment provider. If you give your email when buying, that provider processes it for billing, receipts and fraud prevention. We do not see or store your card details. We may receive payment confirmation, the amount and, where needed to help you, your email.

  • Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

e) Anonymous usage statistics. We record simple events (page viewed, chart created, reading unlocked) without cookies, without identifiers and without storing your IP address. They are only used for counting and improving the Site and cannot identify you.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), to the extent this could be considered personal data.

We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on you, and we do not build profiles.

3. No cookies: what your browser stores

We use no cookies and no third-party tracking tools. The Site uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to keep your preferences (for example, language) and, if you wish, your chart details and access code, so you do not have to type them again. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. It is strictly necessary for the function you request (Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings or with the "Delete my data" button on the Site, where available.

4. Who else processes data (recipients)

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting of the Site and database (Cloudflare Pages, R2 and D1). Acts as our processor. To serve pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare may process your IP address technically and temporarily; we do not store it.
  • Our payment provider — billing, receipts, taxes and fraud prevention. Depending on how it operates, it acts as our processor or as an independent controller; in the latter case its own privacy policy, shown at checkout, also applies.
  • Anthropic (AI service) — translates reading texts into other languages. It only receives the generic interpretation text, never personal data (no name, date, code or email).
  • Authorities — when required by law (for example, the Spanish Tax Agency).

We do not sell your data.

5. International transfers

Some providers are based or have servers outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the USA. In those cases the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR). 6. How long we keep data

  • Chart key and access code: while you keep access to your reading and then for the legal retention period for sales records (generally up to 6 years).
  • Payment data: kept by the payment provider under its legal obligations.
  • Anonymous statistics: no fixed limit, as they identify no one.
  • Messages you send us: as long as needed to reply and, at most, while claims could arise.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to [EMAIL]. To find your data, give us your access code; we will not ask for more than necessary.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (www.aepd.es, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid) or with the data protection authority of your country.

8. Minors

Buying readings is reserved for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.

9. Security and changes

We apply reasonable technical measures (encrypted HTTPS connection, restricted database access and data minimisation). If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, say so on the Site.
